Cyndi Lauper's highly anticipated new album Bring Ya To The Brink was finally released in May 2008 in some territories; Japan, US, Argentina, Brazil & Taiwan
and was released in June 2008 in Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Chile.
In the UK & Europe, Bring Ya To The Brink was released in July / August. Release dates for the rest of South America and South Africa are still unknown.

Cyndi Lauper launched her new album Bring Ya To The Brink on the 14th May with a special live performance at MARUCUBE (Marunouchi Bild 1F) in Tokyo, Japan.
The special performance was by invitation only!

The new album is an all dance / rhythm set. Cyndi has collaborated with the likes of Basement Jaxx, Digital Dog, Scumfrog, Dragonette, Kleerup, Peer Astrom of Murlyn,
Axwell & Richard Morel. Cyndi co-wrote and co-produced the entire album.

Lauper reported that she travelled to Paris and England to write for the first time and "returned to my voice as a writer and as an artist but in a way I had never done before."
"This is an album that can be experienced in two completely different ways," said Lauper on "Brink." "A dance album that you can move to and enjoy on a surface level.
But if you want more than that, there's a lot to discover inside the lyrics...these songs get pretty deep."

Set Your Heart (Promo Only Release) is the lead single in Japan and peaked at #4 in the Japanese Airplay Chart.

Same Ol' Story is the first single in the US (iTunes & Amazon) & Australia (iTunes) and is available now on download. Same Ol' Story topped the US Dance / Club Chart at #1.

Same Ol' Story (UK Promo Only: 9 - Track Promo CD) peaked at #5 on the UK Mainstream Dance Chart.

Into The Nightlife is the next single in some countries and the first for others. The video was filmed at the NYC Club SPLASH. Fans were invited to take part in this historic event.
Into The Nightlife has been remixed by Soul Seekerz, Ruff Loaderz, Johnny Pinkfinger (all UK DJ's / Producers) & Jody Den Broeder (US DJ).
Promo issues have been issued in the US, UK & Germany. To be released digitally in at the end of August / September in some territories.
